Job Description

Lutheran Family and Children's Services of Missouri is seeking a therapist for our Columbia, MO office. This position will provide counseling, parenting education, case management and support through our Maternal Mental Health program for the Boone County area. Duties: Provide effective counseling/therapy to clients including case coordination and crisis intervention as needed.  Maintain accurate and complete client records. Continue professional growth. Participate in peer consultation. Collaborate with community networks as needed for client services and program development. Maintain the highest levels of standards of ethics and confidentiality. Serve on department and agency committees or work groups as needed. Minimum Education & Experience: Level I:   Master's degree in a mental health related field. Must be provisionally licensed (LMSW or PLPC) and obtaining supervision toward licensure as a professional counselor or clinical social worker in the State of Missouri. Must be a licensed driver with access to a reliable automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements.
