ABOUT THE POSITION This position is responsible for providing oversight of all finance, accounting and financial reporting activities and will report to the CFO. RESPONSIBILITES • Analyzes and creates accurate and timely monthly financial reports, which adhere to appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. • Maintains a system of internal controls of general ledger accounts to assure accuracy and timeliness. • Reviews financial reports and analysis variance in trends and budget keeping senior leadership apprised of the Agency's financial status. • Oversees the accounting functions in multiple locations working with both local and regional staff to develop processes for all accounting needs. • Coordinates audit activities; develops audit accounting and billing systems as needed. • Produces related company financial statements using inter agency accounts • Supervises and trains clerical staff, payables and receivables staff positions. • Monitors financial compliance of state and federal contracts. • Reviews and reconciles payroll tax filings and reports. • Lead the preparation of annual budget process. • Monitors operational cash flow needs.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education & Experience: • Bachelor's Degree in accounting. • 3-5 years of accounting experience and 2 years of financial reporting experience, • 2 years of supervisory experience. • Must obtain Notice to Schedule (NTS) for the CPA(Certified Public Accountant) exam within six months of hire date and obtain CPA license within 24 months of hire date. Preferred: Non-profit experience, 2 years federal audit experience.
