ABOUT THE POSITION This professional will help by providing supportive counseling and case management services to potential foster parents or relatives seeking to have children placed in their home. This professional completes home studies and facilitates training classes for potential families. The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge base of community resources in the greater Franklin County area. The typical hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:30-5:00 with occasional evenings and weekends required. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Guidance Counseling, Drug & Alcohol Counseling or other Human Behavior Science which includes 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in human behavior development, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measure of development and/or therapeutic techniques, social work, psychology, family and guidance counseling, drug & alcohol counseling, or criminal justice. One year experience in Child Welfare, Adoption and Foster Care, care coordination, community resource development preferred.
