Job Description

Job Title: Lifeskills Facilitator III Full-time Lutheran Family & Children's Services of Missouri is seeking a compassionate professional that wants to make a positive impact on the youth of our community. The Lifeskills Facilitator will implement and facilitate Project STEP-UP. This program helps youth develop and improve important life-skills like leadership, character development and problem-solving. Duties include: Recruiting, enrolling and conducting pre-assessments of potential participants for Project Step-Up. Implementing the Botivin Lifeskills to youth in group settings. Establish personal and program goals with participating youth and providing follow-up coaching. Establish and maintain effective contact and communication with parents, schools and other stakeholders involved with participants. Maintaining and keeping current records documenting activities, youth assessments, behavioral interventions, services rendered to youth and parents and all other data required for program evaluation.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: Education and Experience: Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW). Licensed or provisionally licensed with LCSW in Missouri. 2 years of experience working with youth at different developmental stages. Knowledge and Skills: Established social work practices. Knowledge of and understanding of the best practices for youth development and best practice model interventions. Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques. Code of ethics; licensure standard; youth assessments. Must have strong computer skills and written and verbal communication skills. Effective facilitation or presentation skills. Must be self-motivated and have self-management skills. Capability to function on a team and to follow supervisory recommendations and program procedures. Ability to work appropriately with children and respond positively to parents. Must be a licensed driver with access to a reliable automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements. We are an equal opportunity employer.
